Kindergarten Round-Up Information

Holliday Elementary Kindergarten Round-Up

and Pre-K Pre-Registration

On April 25, 2019, Holliday Elementary School will have 

Kindergarten Round-Up

for children 5 years of age, on or before September 1, 2019.

All prospective kindergarteners for the 19-20 school year should plan to attend, including those applying for acceptance as a transfer student. 

The Kindergarten Round Up pre-registration form must be completed and turned in to the office by April 12th. Forms can be turned into the elementary office in person, emailed to Mrs. Stubblefield at Makenzie.stubblefield@hollidayisd.net, or faxed to 586-0538. Forms may also be picked up in the office.

On the day of Round Up, parents and students should check into the office at 8:15am and will be directed to the kindergarten classrooms. Then, parents will attend a meeting in the cafeteria at 8:30am. Students will stay for classroom activities and may be picked up at 11am at the front office.

 You will need to bring with you:

  1. Copy of state issued certified birth certificate (not the hospital copy);
  2. Copy of Social Security card;
  3. Copy of Immunization record;
  4. In district students- proof of residency (only acceptable forms are: lease agreement, closing statement, or electric bill with your name and physical address);
  5. Out of District students- completed transfer application if you do not reside in HISD. 
  6. Copy of your driver's license.

Parents of kindergarten students will also come back to complete the registration process for their child during the regular registration week the week of August 5th.

 

 

Pre-K Registration: Parents may register Pre-K children in the Holliday Elementary office during regular registration the week of August 5th.  To qualify for the Pre-K program, a child must live in the district, be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2019, and be either Limited English Proficient (LEP), educationally disadvantaged (qualifies for the free/reduced lunch program), has a parent currently serving in the military, or is homeless. A child with special needs may also enter the Pre-K Program if they are at least three years of age and have a qualifying disability.

 You will need:

  1. Copy of state issued birth certificate (not the hospital copy); 
  2. Copy of Social Security card;
  3. Copy of Immunization record;
  4. In district students- proof of residency (Only acceptable forms are: lease agreement, closing statement, or electric bill with your name and physical address);
  5. Copy of your driver's license.
