Holliday ISD Teacher Recruitment Fair

If you are a certified teacher this is your opportunity to “get to know” Holliday ISD.

Holliday ISD will be hosting a Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday February 23rd at 9:00 a.m.  As an applicant, you will get the opportunity to tour the campuses, have lunch, meet with teachers and administrators and be interviewed by campus teams.

The purpose of the job fair is to pre-screen and interview prospective teachers for anticipated openings in the 2019-20 school year and to create a pre-screened and interviewed pool of applicants should an opening occur.

The job fair schedule will accommodate 20 applicant interviews on Saturday February 23^th. If more than 20 applicants are selected to be interviewed HISD will host a second round of interviews on Saturday March 2^nd.

Holliday ISD has anticipated openings in:

Elementary: 5^th Grade Math, Reading

Elementary Special Education PPCD

Middle School: Special Education

Texas History/Boys Assistant Coach

                                Reading/ELA/Girls Assistant Coach

High School: Head Softball, Teaching Field TBD

Although we do not anticipate openings at this time HISD welcomes applicants certified in Spanish, Secondary Math, English and all teaching fields. (ESL Certification, Google Certification, HRS Training and UIL Academic Coaching experience preferred)

HISD Offers a competitive compensation plan that includes:

• $2000 above state base that is not front loaded and step increases currently to year 28 in experience. (Compensation plan is to reach $4,000 above base, above step raises by 2021)
• Personal Leave – 5 state days, district pays $50 per unused days upon retirement

   4 local days, district pays $75 per unused day each school year

• Doctor visits (less than 2 hours) covered at no charge to employee
• Life Insurance         $10,000 of coverage, no charge to employee
• Athletics – Free admission to all home athletic contests
• Working Conditions – Small class sizes and collegial atmosphere
