Tornado Shelter Procedures

Holliday ISD Tornado Shelter Procedures 

 

Holliday ISD has designated tornado shelters capable of housing all district students and staff.

When a “TORNADO WARNING” is issued by the National Weather Service for Northern Archer County including the City of Holliday all students and staff will be securely locked in the tornado shelters.  District personnel will not be available to answer phones or admit people into the building. Parents will not be able to pick up their students once they have entered the tornado shelters. Once the warning has been lifted regular school day procedures will resume. In the event of damage to the school parents will receive information from the district alert system notifying them of the reunification site and check out procedures.
