High School Science Teacher
High School Diploma 2002:
B.S. Equine Business and Industry with a minor in Animal Science, December 2006:
Teaching Certification:
I received a Bachelor of Science in Equine Business and Industry with a minor in Animal Science.
I am currently working to get my Master’s Degree in School Counseling.
I try to attend CAST (Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching) as often as possible. I also attend workshops through Region 9 during the summer. By attending these things, I am able to get new ideas for teaching concepts as well as learning new ways to interect with students that will help to reach each of them on their own level. I also had the opportunity to attend the National Science Conference in Houston in 2021.
This will be the start of my 8th year at Holliday High School, but it will with be my 12th year to teach.
Current Subjects being taught:
Prior to teaching at Holliday, I spent 4 years at City View Elementary. I taught 5th grade Reading and Social Studies for 3 of those years and 5th grade Math and Science for 1 year. I also spent one year at New Home ISD teaching Physics, Robotics, 4th grade Science, 6th grade Science, 7th grade Science, and 5th grade Social Studies.
I am not married and my only “child” is my three year old Great Dane. But I do have a nephew who keeps me on my toes.
My hobbies include gardening and messing with my horses. Occassionally I like to paint and have recently started to spend some time dabbling with leatherwork.
